keep moving

Three window installations commissioned by shoe company Terra Plana, and produced as a collaboration between Inca Starzinsky and Henny van Nistelrooy.
The installations use a zoetrope effect, creating a brief and abstract animation covering the entire window, activated by the passer-by’s own movement. It stops when you stop, it moves when you move. Therefore – keep moving.

Shoes are fundamentally connected to movement. And movement means more than merely walking: it means moving on, looking ahead, developing. Henny and Inca decided that exploring the concept of movement in all its senses was appropriate to a shoe company like Terra Plana. The abstract ‘animation’ of a grey square exploding into a swarm of colourful, organic shapes evokes Terra Plana’s encouragement of people to think differently.

Installed at three Terra Plana stores during London Design Week 16th of September to the 6th of October.
