These scarves are part of an ongoing exploration of photographic reproduction of graphics in digital textile printing.
Hundreds of used postage stamps were collected and sorted into colour groups – red, green, blue, and so on.
The used and worn appearance of the stamps in the context of a new, designed object is an interesting contrast. The stamps have connotations of travel, communication and history, but in particular a more meaningful, or perhaps romantic form of communication in today’s society.

The scarves are made out of 100 percent high quality habotai silk. Printed in Germany and hand sewn in England.
